Cascade Kingdom Power Moon Guide: All 40 Moons
Use the cards below as your full checklist. Each moon includes the core location, what to do, and a practical tip to keep the route clear.

Power Moon #1 – Our First Power Moon
- Start at the Waterfall Basin area and walk toward the first Chain Chomp beside the shiny cracked rock near the waterfall.
- Throw Cappy at the Chain Chomp to capture it, then pull backward until the chain is stretched tight.
- Aim the Chain Chomp directly at the glowing cracked rock and release it so the impact breaks the stone open.
- Collect the Power Moon that appears in front of the broken rock before continuing up Fossil Falls.

Power Moon #2 – Multi Moon Atop the Falls
- After Power Moon #1, keep climbing the main Fossil Falls route and use captured Chain Chomps to smash any cracked rocks blocking the path.
- Enter the 2D wall section, climb through it, and continue along the upper path until you reach Madame Broode’s boss arena.
- Capture the golden Chain Chomp, pull it back, and launch it into Madame Broode’s face when she is vulnerable.
- Repeat the hit three times to end the fight and collect the story Multi Moon at the top of the falls.

Power Moon #3 – Chomp Through the Rocks
- Return to the lower Chain Chomp area near the fossil wall after opening the route through Cascade Kingdom.
- Look for the cracked rock wall behind the group of Chain Chomps; this wall hides the Moon.
- Capture the smaller Chain Chomp on the left, pull it back, and line up the shot so it crashes into the cracked wall.
- Walk into the newly opened space and collect the Power Moon inside.

Power Moon #4 – Behind the Waterfall
- Enter the 2D pipe built into the waterfall wall and climb through the side-scrolling section.
- Near the upper-left part of the 2D route, check the suspicious empty space above the path instead of exiting immediately.
- Jump from below to reveal the hidden block, then use it to get over the wall and continue left behind the waterfall.
- Follow the hidden passage to the end and grab the Power Moon tucked behind the waterfall.

Power Moon #5 – On Top of the Rubble
- After clearing the Cascade Kingdom story boss and powering the Odyssey, return to the lower landing area.
- Face the area where the Odyssey first arrived and look for the rubble pile near the starting path.
- Climb onto the pile from the lower side or jump up from the nearby ground until you reach the top.
- Collect the Power Moon floating above the rubble before heading into the wider cleanup route.

Power Moon #6 – Treasure of the Waterfall Basin
Go to the bridge and waterfall basin near the starting area, then jump down into the water without going over the waterfall edge. Swim around the side of the basin to find a small hidden alcove with a treasure chest. Open the chest with Cappy to receive the Power Moon.

Power Moon #7 – Above a High Cliff
Near the Odyssey's original location, find the Chain Chomp by the cliff wall. Capture it and launch it into the cracked rocks to reveal a green pipe. Enter the pipe to come out on the high cliff above, then collect the Power Moon waiting there.

Power Moon #8 – Across the Floating Isles
Return to the arena where you fought Madame Broode, then head toward the floating platforms beyond the northwest side. Jump carefully across the small islands until you reach the Power Moon at the end. Take your time, because the gaps are simple but punish rushing.

Power Moon #9 – Cascade Kingdom Timer Challenge 1
Find the scarecrow near the small waterfall and bridge in the lower area. Throw Cappy onto the scarecrow to start the timer, then cross the temporary moving platforms over the water before they disappear. Reach the final platform and grab the Power Moon before time runs out.

Power Moon #10 – Cascade Kingdom Timer Challenge 2
Go back to Madame Broode's boss arena and look for the scarecrow near the dirt patch. Throw Cappy onto it to make temporary blocks appear upward toward the Power Moon. Climb fast with clean jumps until you reach the top and collect it.

Power Moon #11 – Good Morning, Captain Toad!
From the boss arena, move toward the western side and look over the edge for a lower ledge. Drop carefully onto the ledge below, then drop again if needed to reach Captain Toad. Talk to him and he will give you the Power Moon.

Power Moon #12 – Dinosaur Nest: Big Cleanup!
Near the high cliff area, enter the red hat door that leads to the Dinosaur Nest challenge room. Capture the T-Rex inside and use its stomp and charge to defeat every Burrbo in the arena. Once the room is cleared, the Power Moon appears.

Power Moon #13 – Dinosaur Nest: Running Wild!
Stay inside the Dinosaur Nest after getting the cleanup moon. Capture the T-Rex again and move toward the lower section with large rocks. Smash the rocks until you break the one hiding the second Power Moon, then collect it before leaving the room.

Power Moon #14 – Nice Shot with the Chain Chomp!
Find the green pipe around the cliff-side platforms near the Chain Chomp area and enter the Chain Chomp challenge room. Capture each Chain Chomp, pull it back, and aim it so it knocks the other Chomps into the target. Clear all three target puzzles to make the Power Moon appear.

Power Moon #15 – Very Nice Shot with the Chain Chomp!
After collecting the main Chain Chomp challenge moon, do not leave through the exit pipe yet. Continue to the right side of the room, close to the camera, to find a hidden extra puzzle. Capture the final Chain Chomp, line up the shot, and hit the last target to reveal this secret Power Moon.

Power Moon #16 – Past the Chasm Lifts
Warp to or walk to the Stone Bridge checkpoint, then look for the red hat door reached by dropping down nearby steps. Enter the challenge room and cross the moving lift platforms through the 3D and 2D sections. The Power Moon waits at the end of the main route.

Power Moon #17 – Hidden Chasm Passage
Inside the same Chasm Lifts challenge room as moon 16, watch for a lower grassy platform after the moving white platforms and gold rings. Drop down to it instead of staying on the main route, then enter the hidden pipe. In the 2D section, use the Koopa shell to break the blocks and open the path to the hidden Power Moon.

Power Moon #18 – Secret Path to Fossil Falls!
This Power Moon is reached from a warp painting in another kingdom, so it depends on your route through the game. If your painting is in Snow Kingdom, use the Ty-Foo path near the Odyssey to reach it. If it is in Seaside Kingdom, enter the central structure and dive down to the painting. The painting sends you to the Island in the Sky above Cascade Kingdom, where the moon is waiting.

Power Moon #19 – A Tourist in the Cascade Kingdom
Progress the Desert Wanderer tourist quest after restoring Sand Kingdom. Talk to the tourist in Sand Kingdom, then follow his trip to Metro Kingdom. After that step, return to Cascade Kingdom and find him near the Odyssey. Speak to him there to receive the Power Moon.

Power Moon #20 – Rolling Rock by the Falls
Return to the area under the Odyssey's original position and look for two small rocks near the falls. Focus on the rock on the right and keep kicking or throwing it until it breaks open. The Power Moon pops out after enough hits.

Power Moon #21 – Peach in the Cascade Kingdom
After beating Bowser and starting Peach's post-game travel route, go to Fossil Falls Heights. Look toward the waterfall and cliff edge to find Princess Peach enjoying the view. Talk to her to receive the Power Moon.

Power Moon #22 – Cascade Kingdom Regular Cup
Find the Koopa Freerunning host near the Odyssey after the main story. Start the Regular Cup race and take the fastest route toward the finish at Fossil Falls Heights. Win first place to earn the Power Moon.

Power Moon #23 – Caveman Cave-Fan
Buy and equip both the Caveman Headwear and Caveman Outfit from Cascade Kingdom's Crazy Cap shop. Then travel to Fossil Falls Heights and speak to the Bonnetor who wants to see a caveman. If both outfit pieces are equipped, he rewards you with the Power Moon.

Power Moon #24 – Shopping in Fossil Falls
Return to Cascade Kingdom after the shop is available and visit the Crazy Cap stand near the starting area. Open the yellow coin side of the shop and buy the Power Moon for 100 coins.

Power Moon #25 – Sphynx Traveling to the Waterfall
Capture the binoculars near the Odyssey and scan the sky above Cascade Kingdom. Look for the flying Sphynx and zoom in on it long enough for the game to recognize it. After a short moment, the Power Moon falls from the sky.

Power Moon #26 – Bottom of the Waterfall Basin
After opening the Moon Rock, return to the water basin below the bridge near the first Chain Chomp area. Dive into the water and look for a glowing spot on the basin floor. Ground pound the spot to reveal the Power Moon.

Power Moon #27 – Just a Hat, Skip, and a Jump
Near the first 2D wall section, look away from the main wall route for a line of hat clouds leading toward a distant island. Throw Cappy at each hat cloud to make it solid, then cross the temporary platforms and collect the Power Moon at the end.

Power Moon #28 – Treasure Under the Cliff
Near Stone Bridge, look along the cliff face for hat clouds beneath the Power Moon. Throw Cappy to reveal the platforms, then use a backflip and wall jump sequence to climb from the lower ledge into the moon. This one is more about positioning than speed.

Power Moon #29 – Next to the Stone Arch
Go to the stone arch bridge that leads toward the boss arena. Look over the side to spot the Power Moon floating beside the arch. Jump down from the bridge and steer into the moon as you fall.

Power Moon #30 – Guarded by a Colossal Fossil
At Fossil Falls Heights, climb onto the huge Triceratops fossil near the waterfall. Move to the glowing nose horn and throw Cappy onto it, then hold the throw so Cappy spins on the horn. After a moment, the Power Moon appears.

Power Moon #31 – Under the Old Electrical Pole
Capture the T-Rex in the southwest part of Cascade Kingdom and guide it back toward the Odyssey area. Smash the old electrical pole near the starting side to expose a glowing spot. Release the T-Rex, stand on the glow, and ground pound to reveal the Power Moon.

Power Moon #32 – Under the Ground
Capture the T-Rex near its resting area and smash the rocks around that spot. One of the broken rocks reveals a glowing patch in the ground. Leave the T-Rex if needed, then ground pound the glow to pull out the Power Moon.

Power Moon #33 – Inside the Busted Fossil
At Fossil Falls Heights, find the busted fossil piece near the spark pylon and Chain Chomps. Capture a Chain Chomp, pull it back, and launch it directly into the fossil. When the fossil breaks, the Power Moon appears.

Power Moon #34 – Caught Hopping at the Waterfall!
After opening the Moon Rock, look near the Crazy Cap shop and Odyssey area for a rabbit hopping around. Chase it down and throw Cappy to stun it, then touch it before it runs away. Catching the rabbit gives you the Power Moon.

Power Moon #35 – Taking Notes: Hurry Upward
Enter the first 2D wall section and find the glowing treble clef. Touch it to spawn a trail of music notes, then climb upward through the 2D route and collect every note before the timer ends. The Power Moon appears when the full note trail is cleared.

Power Moon #36 – Cascade Kingdom Master Cup
Return to the Koopa Freerunning host near the Odyssey after unlocking Moon Rock content and clearing the Regular Cup. Start the Master Cup and race a faster opponent to the finish. Use rolls, long jumps, and clean cornering to win first place.

Power Moon #37 – Across the Mysterious Clouds
Enter the Moon Pipe near the Stone Bridge checkpoint after opening the Moon Rock. Inside, cross the hat-cloud platforms and swinging obstacles until you reach the end of the challenge room. The Power Moon is awarded for completing the main route.

Power Moon #38 – Atop a Wall Among the Clouds
In the same Mysterious Clouds challenge room, progress until you reach the blocks attached to a red wall. Use the center block and reveal the hidden block above it, then climb onto the top of the wall. Cross the hidden hat-cloud path to the side area and grab the secret Power Moon.

Power Moon #39 – Across the Gusty Bridges
Enter the Moon Pipe under the Odyssey's original position, near the dirt section below the Chain Chomp area. Work through the wind-blown bridge challenge, using the moving platforms and timing your jumps between gusts. Reach the end of the main path to collect the Power Moon.

Power Moon #40 – Flying Far Away from Gusty Bridges
Stay inside the Gusty Bridges challenge room after starting moon 39's route. Around the middle of the course, watch the left side for a hidden lever that can be hit by throwing Cappy through the wind current. Activate the lever to reveal an extra bridge, then follow that side path to the final Power Moon.
