FAQ

How many Wonder Seeds are in Fungi Mines?

Fungi Mines holds 21 Wonder Seeds plus one Royal Seed. The Royal Seed comes from the Fungi Mines Palace and opens the next stretch of Petal Isles.

How do I unlock the Uncharted Areas in Fungi Mines?

The three Uncharted Areas appear once you have collected enough Wonder Seeds: Wubba Ruins unlocks at six seeds, Swaying Ruins unlocks once Wubba Ruins has been completed, and Poison Ruins unlocks at eleven seeds. Collecting seeds from the main courses first reveals them on the map.

Where are the two extra Wonder Seeds that are not in courses?

Two Wonder Seeds come from the Poplin buildings: Loyal Poplin’s House gives one for free from a chest, and the Poplin Shop sells one for Flower Coins.

Do I need every Wonder Seed to finish Fungi Mines?

No. You only need enough Wonder Seeds to open the gates to the Fungi Mines Palace. Collecting all 21 plus the Royal Seed is for full completion and counts toward unlocking the Special World.

Are the screenshots from your own playthrough?

Yes. Every screenshot in this guide is captured from our own Super Mario Bros. Wonder gameplay on The Gaming Guide Archives channel.

Who is the boss of Fungi Mines?

Fungi Mines has no Palace boss. Instead, the Royal Seed comes from Operation Poplin Rescue, where you free the trapped Poplin Miners at the bottom of the mines.
